It brought in new viewers, it introduced new conflicts, it teased new mysteries, it took new directions, and now it has a new lease on life. And yet, over the course of the past two months, this series has, for better or worse, rekindled the fire. At the outset of this series, it was hard not to feel like the MCU was approaching irrelevance in our brutally disillusioned and attention-deficient era. You and I, along with all of our fellow WandaVision viewers, saved the universe - the Marvel Cinematic one, that is. What this means is likely to be explored in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the upcoming Marvel movie set to feature Olsen.Well, folks, we did it. The second was Wanda in full Scarlet Witch garb, reading her way through the powerful book of the dead that Agatha said earlier in the episode mentions her. The first was ordinary Wanda, who we saw in regular clothes doing ordinary daily tasks. The second post-credit scene, meanwhile, appeared to show us two Wandas living in a cabin. This is likely to be setting up her appearance in the upcoming Captain Marvel 2. The first sees a Skrull visit Monica to tell her an old friend wants to meet her in space, with that old friend presumably being Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) as seen in the Spider-Man: Far From Home post-credits scene. The show then gives us two post-credits scenes. What is Chaos Magic? Wanda then cast runes across the 'hex,' leaving Agatha without her magic. In the last episode, Agatha stopped Wanda from using her powers by putting her in a circle of magic runes, telling her that only the witch who cast the runes can use magic within them. Wanda was able to overpower Agatha after using a lesson Agatha taught her against her. White Vision then flies off, ready to fight another day-or, more specifically, to star in upcoming Marvel movies another day. Of course, the show also had three threats to deal with-Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), the witch who wants to absorb Wanda's powers the new white emotionless version of Vision that SWORD had created to destroy Wanda as introduced in last episode's post-credit scene plus the character who says he is Wanda's brother Pietro (Evan Peters), who captured Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) in the Episode 7 post-credit scene.įans hoping that Evan Peters' appearance in WandaVision was bringing the X-Men into the MCU will have been disappointed by the finale.
